A female correctional officer has been taken hostage at a jail in Sept-Îles, Quebec. The Quebec Provincial Police say that the correctional officer was taken hostage by multiple inmates.
Responding police and firefighters have set up a security perimeter.
The Palais de justice de Sept-Îles located at 425 Boulevard Laure serves as both a courthouse and a jail. The courthouse has been evacuated.
