Rescue off Signal Hill

Emergency crews from the St John's Fire Department's High Angle Rescue Team and the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary performed a rescue off Signal Hill early this morning.

A 17 year-old male apparently fell over a concrete barrier and fell over 100 metres down a cliff.

It took crews about 4 hours to rescue the teen. The injuries are unknown but the teen was rushed to hospital.

RNC are investigating.

Signal Hill overlooks the city of St. John's and is popular among tourists and locals alike.
