The Muskrat Mess #nlpoli

The total cost of the Muskrat Falls project has swollen to $11.4-billion dollars. The initial cost of the project was pegged at $6.2-billion dollars, meaning the cost has almost doubled and it is two years behind schedule.

This information came from Nalcor CEO Stan Marshall at a press conference this morning.

He went on to say that stopping the project is not an option at this time.

Premier Dwight Ball said that there are major challenges involved in the project. Ball also placed the blame on the previous government.
