What Newfoundland and Labrador can expect this Summer #nlwx


Today is the first official day of Summer and this weekend certainly felt like Summer.

Kyle Brookings takes a look at what Newfoundland and Labrador can expect this Summer.

It looks like a rather good Summer is ahead of us. Current indications point to above normal temperatures for most of the Province. From a precipitation perspective it looks like normal amounts for all of the Province.

Newfoundland is considered to be a cool summer subtype of a humid continental climate, which is greatly influenced by the sea. In Newfoundland, with the exception of the Northern Peninsula we typically see warm Summers. The Northern Peninsula and most of Labrador experiences cool Summers.
