Alberta air show cancelled after plane crash

Officials have cancelled The Cold Lake Air Show after a plane crashed while performing.

A T28 Trojan crashed around 2 p.m. There is no word on the condition of the pilot.

Officials are being escorted away from the grounds.

4 Wing and CFB Cold Lake is the host of the 2016 Cold Lake Air Show along with the City of Cold Lake and our group of generous sponsors.

The two-day event was this weekend.

The show featured performers and activities from across North America, along with talent from not only the Royal Canadian Air Force, but storied aviators and aircraft enthusiasts alike.
