It was a case of karma for a lone male who attempted to rob Seal Cove Grocery in Conception Bay South.
Police say the suspect entered the store around 10 pm on Wednesday night. He was wearing a disguise and carrying a weapon.
The husband and wife store owners detained the man until police arrived.
One owner received minor injuries but has since been released from hospital.
The man was charged with armed robbery, disguise with intent and assault with a weapon. He will answer to the charges in court today.
