The City of Corner Brook has lowered their flags to half-mast following the death of Linda Vatcher.
Vatcher was visiting her son in Jordan when she was killed in the crossfire of gun attacks.
Her son Chris is recovering in Jordan.
Mayor Charles Pender said that “Linda was a very kind, giving person and had a smile for everyone she met.” “She will be sadly missed. She will be remembered for her strong leadership, and unwavering dedication to the community. Today our thoughts and condolences are with Linda’s family.”
