Minister of Fisheries, Forestry and Agrifoods Steve Crocker has announced more then $1.8 million through the Seafood Innovation and Transition program to help transition Newfoundland and Labrador towards a groundfish-based seafood industry.Crocker said, "These investments are an example of our government's commitment to supporting the seafood industry, which is a vital part of the Newfoundland and Labrador economy. These projects will play an important role in the successful transition to a groundfish-based industry, and we look forward to additional opportunities to fund innovative projects."
