Minister of Transportation and Works, Al Hawkins, met with members of the Heavy Civil Association of Newfoundland and Labrador to discuss improvements to road work in advance of the 2017 construction season.
The provincial government allocated $62 million for the Provincial Roads Program in the last budget.
At the meeting establishing more regular communication with the association and its members, multi-year planning and early road work tendering, ensuring road work is completed within the project year, and improvements to the procurement of road tenders were up for discussion.
