Four Hunters Face Charges Following Investigation


Fish and Wildlife Enforcement officers have charged four individuals, all from Nova Scotia for illegal possession of big game following an investigation by which began on October 31.

The group was detained on November 3. One of the four hunters is also facing charges of illegally applying in the resident big game license draw and killing a big game animal without a valid license.

They were released with a notice to appear in Provincial Court in Corner Brook on February 14, 2017. The alleged crime took place in the Bay of Islands area.

As a result of the investigation, Fish and Wildlife Enforcement officers seized a 2011 Ford F150 pickup truck, an ATV, eight quarters of moose, a rifle and other hunting equipment.
