RNC took two more impaired drivers off our roadways but not before one caused and accident
There was a report of a motor vehicle collision in the Centre City area of St. John’s. Upon arrival, Police discovered that one of the drivers was impaired by alcohol.
The 48-year-old male driver was arrested and charged with impaired driving and driving over the legal limit for alcohol. The damage in the collision was minor and no one was injured.
The second incident came from an anonymous tip of a possible impaired driver in the west end of the city. The suspect vehicle was located and the 47-year-old male operator was charged with Impaired Driving and over 80MG after his reading showed he was more than three times over the legal limit.
The male was also issued a summary offense ticket for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. The vehicle was impounded. The male also had an outstanding arrest warrant and as a result was held for court this morning.
