Stormy Weather On The Way #nlwx

An area of low pressure will bring a mixed bag of weather to Newfoundland and Labrador on Wednesday and Thursday.

Precipitation across the Island will begin as snow on Wednesday afternoon before changing over to ice pellets and rain along the west and south coast along with central. On the Avalon we will only likely see rain. No significant precipitation is expected to Newfoundland.

Strong winds are expected once again along the west coast with gusts up to 130 km/h possible.

In Labrador heavy snow is expected with 20 to 30 cm possible in the heaviest snow. Wind will also cause blowing snow and reduced visibility.
