Gordie Howe died this morning. He was 88.
Mr. Howe died surrounded by family at his son Murray's house in Ohio, just before 8 a.m. this morning, a source close to the family confirmed.
Gordon "Gordie" Howe, OC was a Canadian professional ice hockey player. From 1946 to 1980, Howe played twenty-six seasons in the National Hockey League and six seasons in the World Hockey Association.
