During a news conference at Memorial University in St. John's Public Services and Procurement Minister Judy Foote announced more than $14 million in new federal funding to expand Memorial’s research infrastructure.Premier Dwight Ball, Gerry Byrne, minister, Advanced Education, Skills and Labour, and Nick Whalen, the member of Parliament, St. John’s East, participated in the event.
The $14.4-million investment will replace two of Memorial’s aging animal research care facilities.
Memorial will provide an additional $15.6 million for this project.
