Icebergs are pieces of ice that formed on land and float in an ocean or lake.
Icebergs can vary greatly in size and shape. Some can even be the size of islands.
The term "iceberg" refers to chunks of ice that is larger than 5 meters across.
Perhaps the most famous ship in history, The Titanic, struck an iceberg and sank in 1912. After the sinking, thirteen countries formed the International Ice Patrol to warn ships of icebergs in the North Atlantic.
