P.E.I. Schools Close After Bomb Threat


It was a tense morning in Prince Edward Island as all schools were evacuated following a bomb threat.

The threats were sent via fax and included a list of schools, however, police have not released what schools were listed.

The RCMP said that nothing suspicious was found.

School staff is still being asked to check schools for anything suspicious.

The University of Prince Edward Island and Holland College are also closed.

No suspects have been identified and there have been no reports of injuries.

It is not only Prince Edward Island, in Nova Scotia NSCC campuses in Halifax and Cape Breton were also evacuated Wednesday, due to bomb threats. There is no word on whether the incidents are connected.
