Joel North is no longer employed at radio station Coast 101.1 in St. John's after he tweeted what some call a sexist controversial tweet.A twitter user @anyasjenkins posted a tweet saying "Streaming Overwatch now!!!! come watch me and hang out! :)."
North responded by saying, "you'd get more viewers of you were stripping." The station received several complaints this week.
The owner of Coast 101.1 apologized to the community.
Coast 101.1 broadcasts from St. John's. The station began broadcasting on February 12, 2004. It is owned by Coast Broadcasting, owned by local businessman Andrew Bell.
