The Memorial University Campus in St. John's was closed earlier this morning following a report of an armed individual.At about 7:50 a.m. RNC officers and MUN Campus Enforcement and Patrol responded to the report.
RNC said that there was no evidence that the man was carrying a gun.
The individual in question was arrested by police and will be assessed under the Mental Health Care and Treatment Act.
MUN classes have since resumed.
