As the U.S. Presidential Election ramps up the Obama administration has officially accused Russia of carrying out a campaign to interfere with the 2016 elections.
The government says this includes hacking the computers of the Democratic National Committee and other political officials.
The Director of National Intelligence and the Department of Homeland Security, came as pressure was growing from within the administration and some lawmakers to hold Moscow accountable.
Back in June, the Democratic National Convention said that they determined that hackers from the Russian Government were behind the attack.
Vladimir Putin has denied any connection.
