A follow-up investigation resulted in a charge of Theft Over $5,000 against a 29-year-old resident of Conception Bay South, related to the theft of approximately 170,000 liters of diesel fuel over a period of about six years.
The individual was released to appear in court at a later date and failed to appear and a warrant for arrest was issued. On November 15, the individual was apprehended by the Canadian Border Services when he returned to Canada on a vessel, docked in Harbour Grace.
He was passed over to the custody of the RNC and held for court.
