Dominic Leblanc, the Minister of Fisheries has announced that the Maritime Rescue Sub-Centre in St. John's will be reopening.
There will be life boat stations set up in St. Anthony, Bay de Verde, and Twillingate.
The Maritime Rescue Sub-Centre was closed by the former Conservative government in 2012.
