Two Cars Collide After Passing School Bus #nltraffic

An RNC patrol officer was patrolling the Sunnyslope Drive area of Corner Brook on Monday afternoon when the officer noticed a school bus with flashing lights engaged and preparing to off-load students when two vehicles passed the school bus.

After the first vehicle passed the bus, this vehicle braked abruptly causing the second vehicle (that also passed the school bus) to collide with vehicle.

Both vehicles sustained moderate damages. Both drivers of vehicles were not injured.

The drivers, an 18 year old female and a 52 year old female, were both issued Summary Offence Tickets under the Highway Traffic Act for Passing a School Bus while Lights Flashing.

The collision investigation remains under investigation.
