RNC Corner Brook Region Arrest Males in Assault Investigation

The RNC has charged two Corner Brook males following a disturbance on early this morning.

RNC Patrol Services with the assistance of Forensic Identification Services and Western Health Paramedics responded to a report of an assault which was occurring at a residence in the area of Elizabeth Street.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that two males who were known to each had assaulted each other. Both males were treated at Western Memorial Regional Hospital for what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

As a result of the investigation, a 35 year old male resident of Corner Brook was arrested and charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm. He was release to appear in Provincial Court at a later date. The second male, a 31 year old male resident of Corner Brook was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault.

He is being held in custody and will appear in Provincial Court later today.

The RNC Criminal Investigation Division and Forensic Investigation Services are continuing the investigation into this matter.
